Nick Bestor


Executive Director

Nick Bestor serves as RHSC's Executive Director. He began the position Nov. 1, 2018 and provides strategic leadership and manages daily operations of the recreation, academy and select programs. 
Nick comes to RHSC with more than 10 years experience in youth developmental soccer and club administration. He has worked with all ages and levels from U5 recreational to U23 men’s teams.

Nick began his soccer career in 2006 as an assistant soccer coach at Denver Academy High School and with the Arvada Soccer Association. He was the Director of Soccer for Camp Wildwood, a premier residential summer camp in Bridgeton, Maine.

He joined Thompson Soccer Association/United Soccer Club in Littleton, Colorado in 2012 as a Technical Director eventually being promoted to Director of Coaching and Player Development. At Thompson Soccer Association/United Soccer Club he was instrumental in strategically doubling the size of the club and implementing a streamlined registration and curriculum. He also led several teams to state league titles. He led the 03 boys team to 5th place in the Southwest Regional Premier League last season. Most recently, Nick was the Director of Coaching and Player Development at North Mississippi Soccer Academy.
In addition to his coaching experience Nick has over a decade of experience working in the youth development field in a variety of settings ranging from alternative youth development programs to serving as a teacher and in administration in traditional schools.
Nick graduated from Western State College of Colorado with a degree in Exercise Sport Science. During his time at Western he also completed all the requirements to earn a minor in the Psychology of Coaching.

In addition to his degree he holds many licenses, qualifications, and diplomas from various coaching education organizations including the USSF, USC, and the Positive Coaching alliance. His highest credential is an Advanced National Diploma from the USC. He is working towards his goal of earning the premier and master coach diploma.

John Murphy

Director of Coaching

Georgia Southern University Men’s Head Soccer Coach John Murphy was hired as RHSC's Director of Coaching May 1, 2018. Murphy also continues to serve as Georgia Southern’s head coach.

Coach Murphy will begin his third year as Georgia Southern’s head coach this fall.  In 2017, he led program to first winning season since 2006 with a 9-8-1 record. The Eagles earned thier first regional ranking from the United Soccer Coaches since 2008, finishing 10th.  In 2016, the Eagles went 3-1-1 in Sun Belt Conference play, claiming a share of the regular-season league title and earning a bye into the semifinal round of the Sun Belt Championship. This was the first conference championship in the program’s 37-year history. For his effort’s, Murphy was named the 2016 Sun Belt Coach of the Year. 

He has more than 20-year coaching experience, with 10 years coaching in the professional ranks and has served as an assistant coach at Boston College, Clemson and Brown. His dual roles with the New England Revolution and Colorado Rapids saw him develop two comprehensive youth academies as Assistant Coach and Director of Youth Development. 

He was also a head coach at Anderson University (S.C.) (2012-13), Livingston FC (2009), Assumption College (1998-2000) and Massasoit Community College (1994), his alma mater. He was twice named the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) New England Coach of the Year in 1994 and again in 2000.

In 2009, he became the first American citizen to work in British professional soccer as a coach when he was hired by Livingston of the Scottish First Division. During that time, he worked with current standout players Leigh Griffiths (Celtic), Andy Halliday (Rangers) and Murray Davidson (St. Johnstone).

Murphy has also authored two books on soccer and published an instructional DVD set through Championship Productions. As an NSCAA National Staff Coach, Murphy is well known nation-wide as an educator and advocate for the game.

He holds the UEFA Pro Badge from the Scottish Football Association, a U.S. Soccer "A" License and a NSCAA Advanced National Diploma. He was the first foreign-born coach to earn an English Football Association "A" Goalkeeper Coaching License in 2003.


Charlie Moore

Technical Director
U19 Classic II Boys 

Charlie Moore is RHSC's Technical Advisor. Moore, along with Director of Coaching John Murphy, works directly with Academy and Select players and coaches on player and coaching development. He coaches the U19 boys team which won the Classic II South divison in Fall 2018.

Moore is also Benedictine Military School’s head soccer coach, which just won back to back (2017 and 2018) state championships. He also coached at St. Andrews High School, which was state runner up in 2009 and state champions in 2010. He was named Coach of the Year in 2010. Moore will continue his responsibilities at Benedictine. 

He has Fa level 1 and 2 licenses, UEFA technical license, NSCAA national and NSCAA national advanced license. Moore has served as a coach for Savannah United, Savannah Celtic and CGSA. He played professional soccer and has more than 40 years of playing and coaching experience.

Coach Coulter played U10, U12, and high school varsity soccer. He later played again from 96-99 with the Cocoa Beach Air Force and Moody Air Force Base traveling soccer teams. He began coaching in 2011 and is a new addition to the RHSC.

att has been a USSF licensed recreational and select soccer coach since 2001. He has been the assistant coach for the RHSC U18 Girls Athena B team, which went undefeated in league play for two seasons.

Coach Garth is a licensed coach who has been with the RHSC program for three years and currently coaches the U14 Boys team. He has been playing soccer since he was four years old - playing organized soccer, high school and recreationally.
