RHSC names Executive Director

In the next phase of a strategic growth plan, Richmond Hill Soccer Club announces the hiring of Nick Bestor as Executive Director. Nick will provide strategic leadership and manage daily operations of the recreation, academy and select programs. He will begin the position Nov. 1.
Richmond Hill Soccer Club Director of Coaching John Murphy will continue in his role as Director of Coaching focused on curriculum and coaching development and Coach Charlie Moore will continue to serve as Technical Director.
“We are excited to welcome Nick to the Richmond Hill Soccer Club family,” said RHSC President Drew Corbett. “Nick’s background and experience in coaching and club administration will be valuable assets as the club continues to grow.”
Murphy added, “Nick is a fantastic addition to Richmond Hill Soccer Club and I look forward to working with him in the upcoming season and over the next several years.”

Nick comes to RHSC with more than 10 years experience in youth developmental soccer and club administration. He has worked with all ages and levels from U5 recreational to U23 men’s teams.

Nick began his soccer career in 2006 as an assistant soccer coach at Denver Academy High School and with the Arvada Soccer Association. He was the Director of Soccer for Camp Wildwood, a premier residential summer camp in Bridgeton, Maine.

He joined Thompson Soccer Association/United Soccer Club in Littleton, Colorado in 2012 as a Technical Director eventually being promoted to Director of Coaching and Player Development. At Thompson Soccer Association/United Soccer Club he was instrumental in strategically doubling the size of the club and implementing a streamlined registration and curriculum. He also led several teams to state league titles. He led the 03 boys team to 5th place in the Southwest Regional Premier League last season. Most recently, Nick was the Director of Coaching and Player Development at North Mississippi Soccer Academy.
"There is a clear sense of passion towards the sport and Richmond Hill Soccer Club that I have felt from the board, coaches, and community members which I have already met. I am absolutely thrilled to become a part of the Richmond Hill Soccer Club," said Bestor.
In addition to his coaching experience Nick has over a decade of experience working in the youth development field in a variety of settings ranging from alternative youth development programs to serving as a teacher and in administration in traditional schools.
Nick graduated from Western State College of Colorado with a degree in Exercise Sport Science. During his time at Western he also completed all the requirements to earn a minor in the Psychology of Coaching.

In addition to his degree he holds many licenses, qualifications, and diplomas from various coaching education organizations including the USSF, USC, and the Positive Coaching alliance. His highest credential is an Advanced National Diploma from the USC. He is working towards his goal of earning the premier and master coach diploma.
